Matt Shakman Heads To Westeros For "Games of Thrones" Season 7!

Looks like Westeros will be getting a little RAUCOUS come Season 7! Today, Variety announced the four directors set to take the reigns for HBO's smash fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" during its seventh season. In addition to series stalwarts Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, Mark Mylod, RAUCOUS director Shakman will also be joining the show for 2017! 

This will mark Matt's "Game of Thrones" directorial debut, to go along with a rich history of other TV projects. He has directed 39 episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" to date, and has also helped episodes of "The Good Wife," "Fargo," "You're The Worst," "Grace and Frankie" and "Mad Men," among many, many others.

"GoT" is coming off its most successful season to date, and its finale hit a ratings high for a single series episode thus far, reaching 8.9 million homes.
